Tradition and innovation hand in hand
Since the foundation of the Engineering offices IMM Maidl & Maidl Beratende Ingenieure is the name Maidl stands for unique expertise in the technically demanding and fascinating field of tunnel construction. For more than 40 years, national and international clients have benefited from the in-depth know-how of the company, which began in 1979 and has been active in the structural engineering market ever since.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Maidl laid the foundations of the engineering office at a young age. Building on this foundation, the office expanded steadily and was soon joined by Dipl.-Ing. Reinhold Maidl as a family member, which developed into a tradition. Other members of the Maidl family contributed their experience and made the office what it is today.
Contrary to the trend towards joining large companies, IMM is still in family hands today and wants to maintain this for the future, so that the company's distinctive values and traditions remain and for which its clients and customers have come to appreciate it.
Together we look to the future and are ready to take on any new challenge in the complex and exciting field of tunnel construction.
The foundation stone for our engineering office is laid: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Maidl founds the "Ingenieurbüro Maidl & Edeling" and thus starts a success story in tunnel construction.
With the arrival of Dipl.-Ing. Reinhold Maidl, another experienced expert in tunnel construction, the office is renamed "Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maidl - Dipl.-Ing. R. Maidl". The family tradition begins.
Dr.-Ing. Dieter Handke, who has made a name for himself as a long-standing project manager and authorized signatory, joins the company as a partner and strengthens the management team with his expertise.
A significant milestone: the office is renamed "IMM Maidl & Maidl Beratende Ingenieure GmbH & Co KG". At the same time, Prof. Bernhard Maidl retires, while Ulrich Maidl embarks on his own career.
Dr.-Ing. Dieter Handke leads the company's fortunes into a promising future as Managing Director alongside Dipl.-Ing. Reinhold Maidl.
The generational change is complete: Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Maidl takes over from Reinhold Maidl as Managing Director and continues the family tradition with fresh vigor.
Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Pfeifer joins the team as a further competent partner, strengthening the company with his expertise and innovative strength.
A new chapter begins: Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Breidenstein, a proven expert in tunnel construction and consulting engineer, joins the company as Managing Director and contributes his many years of experience in tunnel construction projects as a specialist and manager.
